Across the Universe is a musical that tells a love story, set in the 1960s in the turbulent years of anti war protests, claims for free speech and civil rights and rock and roll.Throughout the film we are told this incredible story between Jude and Lucy by 34 songs written by The Beatles. Most of the characters of the film pay tribute to outstanding figures of the 60s, starting from The Quarry men, the group that was the basis for the fundation of The Beatles, to the characters of Sadi and Jojo that are inspired on Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix.
Although I´m not fond of musical films I would like to recomend this one. It´s nice and it´s great how all the songs are linked together to tell the story. Hope you enjoy it!
