What do you think about social sites such as Facebook? Do you think they are dangerous for children or for society in general? I think, they are dangerous. I was watching the news and I heard that a 17 year-old English girl was killed by a man, who pretended to be 16 in this social site, but in fact he was 32.
She arranged the meeting through this site, facebook. The night of the meeting, she told her mum she was going to stay in a friend’s house. As she didn’t reply her mum calls, this woman decided to call the police, and unfortunately they found that the girl was killed by this man who pretended to be a good person.
In some cases, these social sites are a good way to socialize, to establish new relationships, but in some other this is a really dangerous thing to do.What do you think about these social sites? Are you in favor or against them?

I think that social sites are a a good way to socialize, however they are risky too. Nowadays many peolple with mental disorders, enter these sites and lie too much.. An Example of this, is the article Anush has depicted. I feel that nowaday, young people under the age of 18 have to be considerably careful once they have decided to meet people through the web..Moreover, i think, that whenever people meet someone they do not know it is a goog idea to tell a friend or relative about the place where the meeting is taking place so that to prevent any incident.

I agree with the fact that nowadays social sites are a wonferful discovery to socialize. Actually it has good results, many people from different parts in the world can contact friends or parents who she or he didn´t meet since many years ago.So this is one of the advantage of these social sites, but on the other hand, your life could be in danger if you don´t take care when you socialize with unknown people. There are unscrupulous people hidden in these sites waiting for another victim who they can lie and they can also kill. So be careful when you give your personal information to unknown people because while you think it is funny to meet new people, somebody is planning how to hurt you.
